Shipping & Return Policies


The last year plus has been unpredictable, and shipping is no exception. Our employees and shipping partners are working very hard but we may not get your order delivered as quickly as you may hope. It could sometimes take 3-5 business days for your order to be shipped. If you live in the Baltimore area, please select free in-store pick up at checkout to receive your order as quickly as possible. 


We stand behind everything we sell. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply return the item within 30 days and we'll replace it or give you a refund. Bikes can be returned within 7 days of purchase in original show floor condition. Please read "Returns" below for more information.


Shipping & Handling Rates - charges are calculated based on purchase amount and weight.

Please note that some items may be subject to additional shipping and handling charges because of size or weight. 

Santa Cruz, Scott, Cannondale, Felt, Surly, Breezer & Batch complete bikes can be shipped for a $150 flat rate box and ground shipping fee. Fee may increase depending on total size of shipped bike and current shipping costs.

Trek, Electra, Giant and select other complete bikes cannot be shipped directly to the consumer. They can potentially be shipped directly to an authorized dealer in your area, however. Contact us for details

Race Pace Bicycles professionally packs each bike that is shipped from our stores. We strongly recommend that every shipped bicycle be professionally assembled. We can not be held liable for issues resulting from incorrect assembly.


Please Note: Orders usually ship 1-2 days after order has been placed.  Orders are shipped on weekdays only, no holidays.  Cutoff for expedited shipping is noon central time.

We protect the security of your information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts all of the information you provide to us and prevents outside parties from being able to "see" your transaction information. When your account information is displayed on your screen, we only display the last five digits of your credit card numbers. You also have the choice of whether or not to save credit card information with us in your Online Account.


Most orders will be ready within one business day. We are happy to accommodate quicker pickup times if you would kindly call us by phone to confirm the order prior to picking it up.

ID, credit card, and order number are required to pick up your items

Bring to the store:

  • Your government-issued photo ID
  • The credit card used for the purchase (if a credit card was used)
  • Your order number

Unless special arrangements are made in advance, orders need to be picked up within 10 days or a 10% restocking fee will be charged.


Occasionally, some items are unexpectedly out of stock or unavailable and may be backordered. If this should occur, we will only bill your credit card for merchandise that is actually shipped. The total shipping charge for orders split into multiple shipments will not exceed the amount quoted on original order.


Sale of discounted items are final and returns cannot be accepted.  Exchanges may be accepted at discretion of Race Pace Bicycles but refunds and returns are not accepted on any sale priced items.

Race Pace Bicycles accepts returns and exchanges on any unused items in their original packaging with all tags attached if received by us within 30 days from the original shipping date. Bikes may be returned within 7 days of purchase in original show floor condition. We reserve the right to deny returns if bicycles are in any condition other than new and/or charge the consumer for parts which show use such as tires, grips and saddles. Any items returned that have been installed, used or damaged will not be accepted.To return an item, please follow these steps: 

  1. Email and include the following information to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization Number (RMA):  
    • Name
    • Order number
    • Specify return type (return, exchange, warranty)
    • Specify reason for return
    • If exchanging, please specify brand, model and describe (color, size, design, etc.) the new item(s). If the exchange item you would like is unavailable, we will issue a refund.
  2. Receive a RMA number following completion of the above email. Your RMA number will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
  3. Box-up the item(s) you are returning with all original tags and packaging.
  4. Print your RMA number in a visible place on the outside of the package.
  5. Insure your package and obtain a tracking number from the shipping company.
  6. Ship to:

Buyer is responsible to pay for return shipping. Shipping charges will only be refunded in full on items shipped in error by Race Pace Bicycles.

All refunds will be applied to the original purchasers credit card once the returned item has been inspected by Race Pace Bicycles to insure that it is unused, uninstalled and in original new condition along with the retail packaging. Refund notification will then be made via email. Please note that there can be a time difference between when Race Pace Bicycles applies a refund to the credit card versus when your credit card company processes and posts the request.

All merchandise sold by Race Pace Bicycles carries the full and original manufacturers warranty. All warranty items must be inspected by Race Pace Bicycles and/or the items manufacturer to ensure that they are covered under the manufacturers warranty.

  • Time: You have 30 days from purchase to request a refund.
  • Method of Refund: Refund will be applied to the original form of payment.
  • Product Condition: Product must be new or like new condition in order to return.

  • Charges: Customer is responsible for any shipping costs related to the return.
